FROM INPUT TO ANSWER

Use this tool

  1. Set total event capacity in people.
  2. List bookings in arrival order with each group’s whole seat count.
  3. Calculate the confirmed and waitlisted allocations.
WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

Reading your result

The first group that cannot fit blocks all later groups, even if a smaller later booking would fit. Remaining capacity can therefore be positive alongside a waitlist.

UNDER THE HOOD

How this works

Process bookings in order. Once a group cannot fit, that group and all later groups join the waitlist.

Use the units shown beside each field. For monetary amounts, use one currency throughout; calculations do not convert currencies. Results normally display up to two decimal places. Nonzero values below 0.01 use up to six significant digits; values below 0.000001 use scientific notation (for example, 1E-7 means 0.0000001). Rankings use unrounded values, so displayed scores can look equal without being tied. CSV downloads retain numeric precision. Monetary rounding uses half-away-from-zero. Inputs or results beyond supported precision are rejected.

BEFORE YOU USE THE RESULT

Assumptions & limits

Strict queue fairness, no splitting groups or payments. This is a local planning list; no registration form is published.

CSV inputs support quoted commas, doubled quotation marks and quoted line breaks. Headers are case-sensitive; a maximum of 500 data rows and 200,000 characters applies per table.

Results are planning aids based on the values you enter. Check important decisions and documents before using or sharing them.
