FROM INPUT TO ANSWER

Use this tool

  1. Enter business, customer, reference and a valid issue date.
  2. List quantities and unit prices; set explicit discount and tax percentages.
  3. Prepare the result, verify its totals, then print or download.
WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

Reading your result

Line totals round to cents. Discount reduces the subtotal before tax; both adjustments round to cents. Currency and commercial terms must be confirmed separately.

UNDER THE HOOD

How this works

Line totals are rounded to two decimals; discount applies before user-entered tax.

Use the units shown beside each field. For monetary amounts, use one currency throughout; calculations do not convert currencies. Results normally display up to two decimal places. Nonzero values below 0.01 use up to six significant digits; values below 0.000001 use scientific notation (for example, 1E-7 means 0.0000001). Rankings use unrounded values, so displayed scores can look equal without being tied. CSV downloads retain numeric precision. Monetary rounding uses half-away-from-zero. Inputs or results beyond supported precision are rejected.

BEFORE YOU USE THE RESULT

Assumptions & limits

A quotation, not an invoice or tax document. Currency is unspecified; add it to your business name or line descriptions. Verify local requirements.

CSV inputs support quoted commas, doubled quotation marks and quoted line breaks. Headers are case-sensitive; a maximum of 500 data rows and 200,000 characters applies per table.

Results are planning aids based on the values you enter. Check important decisions and documents before using or sharing them.
