FROM INPUT TO ANSWER

Use this tool

  1. List each task with hours and hourly rate, retaining the CSV header.
  2. Add direct expenses and a contingency percentage.
  3. Calculate and review the task totals before sharing your estimate.
WHAT THE NUMBERS MEAN

Reading your result

Quote total includes rounded labor lines, direct expenses and contingency. Contingency applies to both labor and expenses.

UNDER THE HOOD

How this works

Round each hours × rate labor line to cents; add expenses; apply contingency to that subtotal.

Use the units shown beside each field. For monetary amounts, use one currency throughout; calculations do not convert currencies. Results normally display up to two decimal places. Nonzero values below 0.01 use up to six significant digits; values below 0.000001 use scientific notation (for example, 1E-7 means 0.0000001). Rankings use unrounded values, so displayed scores can look equal without being tied. CSV downloads retain numeric precision. Monetary rounding uses half-away-from-zero. Inputs or results beyond supported precision are rejected.

BEFORE YOU USE THE RESULT

Assumptions & limits

No tax, discount or contractual terms are inferred. Contingency is a cost buffer, not a profit margin.

CSV inputs support quoted commas, doubled quotation marks and quoted line breaks. Headers are case-sensitive; a maximum of 500 data rows and 200,000 characters applies per table.

Results are planning aids based on the values you enter. Check important decisions and documents before using or sharing them.
